Florida Cricket Conference to Host ACF Annual T/20 Tournament in Orlando, Florida over the Columbus Day Weekend

ACF has continued to work on all of its goals with the same zeal and focus that brought about its inception: unity among all cricketers and cricket organizations, transparency, grass-roots development and a constitutional democracy.  It is on track to deliver an encore to last year’s national inter-league T20 event with preparations already in full swing.   This year’s annual tournament will also be played over the same Columbus Day weekend (October 12-14, 2013), but this time in sunny Orlando, Florida and ACF is looking to attract even more leagues from across the country as it builds on its growth and the success, interest and brand from last year’s tournament.

“The Florida Cricket Conference (FCC) is excited to host the 2ndannual national inter-league T20 tournament of such magnitude and we are leaving no stone unturned to make this a memorable event for all participating leagues, players and their families” – said Kunal Patel, President of the FCC

Last October, the American Cricket Federation (ACF) held its inaugural national inter-league T20 tournament on Columbus Day, at the Woodley Cricket Complex hosted by Southern California Cricket Association (SCCA).  A total of eight leagues took part in the tournament from all across the country and saw the hosts SCCA walk away with the silverware after a keenly contested final with the CLNJ from New Jersey.  For many participants, it was the first tournament on turf wickets in the U.S and a memorable one at that!

Last year’s tournament participants included the following eight leagues; Cricket League of New Jersey (CLNJ), Massachusetts State Cricket League (MSCL), Michigan Cricket Association (MichCA), Midwest Cricket Conference (MWCC), Minnesota Cricket Association (MCA), Southern Connecticut Cricket Association (SCtCA), Washington Metropolitan Cricket Board (WMCB) and host Southern California Cricket Association (SCCA).
